Musasabi Bridge
むささび橋
Musasabi Bridge across the Kinugawa River offers a spectacular view of the Ryuokyo Valley and its striking rock formations, which have been shaped by the erosion of volcanic rock over thousands of years. The bridge is situated between the upriver Shiryu section, characterized by purplish andesite rocks, and Hakuryu, the downriver section, known for its white rhyolite rocks. Musasabi Chaya is a quaint café located near the bridge, with fresh snacks like miso oden soup, and a variety of drinks. There are also restrooms nearby. The café and restrooms are closed during the winter (December to March). While many visitors only visit Nijimi Falls, Musasabi Bridge offers a different perspective of the gorge.
