Jao Falls

蛇王の滝

Surrounded by forests, Jao Falls drop 100 meters into the Kinugawa River. The long, thin stream of water looks like a snake, hence the waterfall’s name (“ja” means serpent, and “o” is king). It looks especially dramatic amid the colorful autumn leaves.

How to get there:
1 hour from Kinugawa-Onsen Station by Meotobuchi Onsen-bound bus to Jao-no-taki bus stop.
