Irohazaka Slope

An expressway linking the city of Nikko to the Okunikko region, Irohazaka Slope has a total of 48 sharp curves that provides drivers and passengers with seasonally changing views of magnificent scenery. Irohazaka is considered to be one of the best spots for viewing autumn foliage, especially from the middle of October to the beginning of November. During this period, expect traffic congestion due to the high volume of visitors.


How to get there:
35 minutes from Nikko Station or Tobu-Nikko Station by buses bound for Chuzenji Onsen/Yumoto Onsen to Akechidaira bus stop.
