弥生祭
Welcome spring with the Yayoi Festival. The festival began over 1,200 years ago to celebrate the beginning of the season. For the main event, 11 flower-guilded floats called hanayatai are paraded extravagantly around the town. Visitors can even help pull floats along the route.
*Yayoi Festival has been cancelled in 2021.
