One of the great summer spectacles in the Nikko area, the Ryuo Festival centers on solemn Shinto rituals in the Ryuo Valley. On a more festive note, it also features impressive firework displays and parades through Kinugawa Onsen. With advance registration, women can help with carrying the mikoshi (portable shrines) in the processions.
