Nichien-Momiji Line

日塩もみじライン

The Nichien-Momiji Line is a section of road in the northern reaches of Nikko that is renowned as a prime spot for autumn foliage. Although most people travel the road by car, you can also enjoy this route via bicycle. In addition to the radiant leaves, there are two scenic waterfalls along the road (one requires a short walk). The best period for viewing the changing leaves is mid-October to early November.

A toll is required to access the road.

How to get there:
45 minutes by car from Nikko Station or 15 minutes from Kinugawa-Onsen Station.
