Mountain Running Event Through World Heritage Sites and Scenic Highlands in Nikko. This mountain running event features a course that winds through the World Heritage sites "Two Shrines and One Temple," as well as the Kirifuri Highlands in Nikko National Park. Participants can choose from the Ultra Course (75 km), Middle Course (35 km), Short Course (15 km), along with Kids and Parent-Child Courses. The start and finish lines are set along the picturesque Omotesando street approach to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, beautifully adorned with autumn foliage. This is a one-of-a-kind sports event in Japan, uniquely held at a World Heritage site in Nikko City.

Central Nikko

Ashio

Ashio is most famous for its copper mine, which flourished for over 400 years. Visitors can ride trolleys down the 700-meter long mining tunnel and get a feel for the mine as it once existed.
